Hello, I’m Discovery
Yep: Discovery is my name — I’ve answered that a few times ;).
I’m a photographer of humans and cloud-security nerd based in Austin, Texas.
I grew up between four countries with nomadic parents. My dad, a landscape photographer, had me carrying large-format camera gear into the wilderness at a young age.
My photo interests are in people, people-in-action, and events. I use photos to preserve the feelings of a time or place. I love snapping those candid, celebratory moments at weddings and events, making a photo with the people I meet in my travels or folks on the street, or helping clients in photoshoots move past the awkwardness to capture them at their best.
I continue to invest in my education taking photography and headshot-specific workshops. I also participate in ongoing education and critique sessions with other headshot photographers.
I strive to put folks at ease to they can let themselves show through.
